About the Lions
Our mission is to empower volunteers to serve their communities, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace and promote international understanding through Lions Clubs.
Ordinary people achieving extraordinary things together: that's the essence of Lionism.
Lions clubs are part of community life in towns, cities and rural districts throughout Australia and the world. Lions clubs are easily identified by the distinctive Lions International logo and the We Serve motto.
Each Club is a little different, with its own mix of activities and meetings:
- supporting community events
- fundraising for worthwhile causes
- supporting people with a disability
- filling unmet needs, especially in health and medicine
- community greening
- wholesome fun
- lasting friendships
- interesting and stimulating guest speakers
- individuals finding creative new uses for their professional skills and community contacts
- developing leadership and professional skills in a safe and supportive environment
- exciting opportunities to contribute to Lions at regional and national levels.
We encourage you to read the official Lions Purposes.

- group bookings to non-Lions local events, such as charity quiz nights and plays.
